Running the Intel Driver & Support Assistant offered me a thunderbolt driver, and upon installing that things appear to be working.įlashed the latest BIOS from here seems to have no issues so far.

I tried installing the MAG-15 thunderbolt firmware update but was unsure which version to flash so I abandoned that route. My phone would charge over the USB-C cable but did not give me the typical "USB mode" menu and the Thunderbolt Control Center indicated I had 0 ports. This was a weird issue, from reading /r/XMG_gg it seems there are driver/firmware issues with the Thunderbolt port.

Was able to fix my audio by removing all Realtek Software I could find on my laptop, and then downloading "Driver-13_Audio_Driver_Package_3-in-1.zip" from the XMG website

I have tried various drivers and managed to get that issue to go away by running the Intel Driver & Support Assistant.
Still trying to play with it to see if I can get a driver that works.Īlso probably worth noting that in the Device Manager, Windows was indicating an issue (yellow warning icon) next to the Intel Smart Sound Technology SST Audio Controller. I went and downloaded the Sound Blaster Audio driver from the Eluktronics website here and my audio blinked and worked for me - but then after restarting my PC it was gone again. For me, no microphone or output devices appear at all.
This one is baffling to me - it seems that the Realtek driver that they are shipping the laptop out with is not the correct driver. Just received my CyberPowerPC Tracer III Evo 15 today and while I'm very pleased with the value and the quality of the hardware, the computer came out of box with some very disappointing oversights.
